Certified North Carolina Pediatric Nutritionist, Registered Dietitian for Kids, Nutrition Counseling for Child and Family Wellness
The Benefits of Children’s Nutritionists
Our team of registered dietitian nutritionists specialize in pediatric and family nutrition coaching, helping families to optimize their child’s nutrition habits. We offer children’s nutritionist services to infants, babies, toddlers, and kids of all ages. As parents ourselves, we understand the complex family dynamic when it comes to food and child feeding. Our approach is always gentle and realistic. Nutrition for kids doesn’t have to be a battleground, and mealtime can be pleasant for everyone.
Picky Eaters
For picky eaters, we have a specific, evidence-based, and gentle method that removes the stress of family meals and helps your child to thrive. Some children are more sensitive to taste, smell, and the variety of textures of foods. Working with a children’s nutritionist can give you and your family the tools you need to introduce new foods without causing kid eating anxiety. In addition to coaching you through our method, we can provide ongoing support and assessment, so that your toddler or child is best supported to establish healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime.
Early Feeding
Our staff of certified toddler and children’s nutritionists also are experts at helping with early feeding, to include infant and baby-led weaning instruction and consultation, breastfeeding support, and toddler feeding. Those first steps of feeding a baby can feel like monumental tasks for parents. And who could blame them? There is so much conflicting information out there. Take the guesswork out of the best feeding practices for infants, babies and toddlers with easy-to-implement strategies with the guidance of one of our expert pediatric dietitians.
Special Feeding Needs
Most children go through picky eating phases. This is a normal part of child development. There are a couple of eating disorders children experience, however, that require the guidance and support of pediatric nutritionists and registered child dietitians.
When it comes to truly picky kids, we have an expertise in coordinating with your child’s care team to support Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and PANDAS/PANS — infection-induced autoimmune conditions that can cause OCD and disrupted eating.
These conditions are real and can be incredibly disruptive to family meals as well as compromise the wellbeing of your child. They both involve an inability for your child to meet nutritional needs and can have serious health and social consequences.
Our approach is to optimize oral nutrition with a food-first approach, but to also utilize age-appropriate, quality nutritional supplements as necessary. Specialty nutritional testing can also be an essential part of these children’s support plans.
As these are serious conditions, it’s critical to consult with your pediatrician and/or primary care physician. A pediatric dietician is but one piece of the support team to get your child back to health.

Further, we are Licensed Registered Dietitians (LDNs) in the state of North Carolina. We are further credentialed in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. We stay informed of guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in order to provide our patients with expert nutrition counseling.
